The birds that see the bird’s eye views

These are some bird’s eye views of the school campus .Here now is a look at some of the feathered friends that visit our school campus to get the benefit of those views.

Pigeons – they divide their time in searching for interesting things to eat on the field, practising low level flight manoeuvres and then balancing on the goalpost.

But every now and then they spread their wings, take off and check out the bird’s eye view.

Mynas : These are also regular visitors to the school campus and their method of passing the time here is quite similar to that of the pigeons. They sometimes take a particular interest in doing a stress test of the maximum load ( of mynas) that one goalpost can bear. ( The current record is 25 mynas – with two coming in to land )

Egrets: These are seasonal visitors who come in every monsoon to check out the bird’s eye view of our campus.

In addition to these regular visitors, occasionally we get some visitors that are quite rarely seen.

Woodpeckers

The Golden Oriole

Kingfisher
