Not just football and Kabaddi. We have a basketball player who also hopes to make it to the state level team too. Here’s a story about Himanshu Dubey- star basketball player of our school.
On February 3rd, 2024, the Carnival Basketball Tournament, was held at Box Street, Madhuban, in Vasai East.Under the auspices of the Palghar District Basketball Association, players from different schools and diverse backgrounds converged to compete for glory.It provided the perfect platform for Himanshu to demonstrate his skills and talent. Himanshu Vinod Dubey, then a student of class 9B, played really well. The Palghar District Basketball Association, in collaboration with the Arisma Charitable Trust, named him the Most Valuable Player of the Tournament .He was given a trophy and a very substantial educational scholarship.
Himanshu had also been selected earlier this year by the Palghar District Basketball Association to represent the Palghar District at the Maharashtra State team trials for the Under 19 Team. The under-16 age group trials will be held shortly and Himanshu has a great chance to play for the Palghar District again.If he does well he may well make the cut to represent Maharashtra at the National level.
