‘Speak your mind, one minute at a time’
On the 7th, 8th and 9th of October, the Just a Minute Competition was organised for the students of classes 8,9 and 10.It brought together participants eager to demonstrate their wit, quick thinking, creativity and spontaneity. The contestants had exactly one minute to speak without hesitation, repetition, or deviation on the topic given to them. They tackled a variety of topics, from the light hearted ‘A samosa a day keeps the doctor away’ to the highly debatable ‘Messi is better than Ronaldo‘. Controversial topics such as ” Why PT periods should be banned in St Augustine’s School” and the baffling “Global warming is causing my hair to fall out” were handled with panache and ease.

It was an electrifying, engaging and fast-paced event, where everyone witnessed the power of words in action and also had great fun at the same time.
