Just A Minute 2025

The school’s Just a Minute competition was less about speaking without hesitation and more about discovering just how creative students could get – and they did a really good job. It is not easy to explain at short notice how to ride a bicycle while eating noodles,or why there was a buffalo in the classroom or why there were dogs sitting on top of the coconut tree. All the participants did a marvellous job of letting their imagination freewheel. They did not get fazed by the topic given,no matter how absurd. They let their minds roam without limits, creating wild, playful, and unexpected ideas much to the delight of many of the teachers present. To actually manage to speak for a full minute is quite a difficult task. The keep the easily bored audience occupied is even more difficult. To do both at the same time is a herculean task, and they attempted both with great enthusiasm.

CLASS 10 Lance Pereria took first place for the third year in a row – having previously achieved the same distinction when he was in class 8 and in class 9. Dwayne Lobo and Elhaan Schmidt came in second and third.

CLASS 9 Juan Dsouza is following in the footsteps of Lance. He came first last year and came first this year too. Winning next year will see him equalling Lance’s hat trick of titles. Eliseus and Dhruv gave him tough competition and took second and third place respectively.

CLASS 8 – Class 8 students are first timers to the competition but they did a very good job too,Two of the main contestants were unfortunately absent on the day .This let Veer Satve romp home to first place. Acquine and Jotham did bravely and took 2nd and 3rd place.

Congratulations to all who participated and thanks to the teachers who organised the event. ( The debate on whether Messi is really better than Ronaldo rages on – and we will have to wait till next year to hear more arguments about this)
