New House System

The House System in St Augustine’s School has been revamped.The 6 House system consisting of Red,Blue,Green,Yellow,Orange and Purple Houses has been converted to a 4 House system.
The four houses – Red,Blue,Green and Yellow have now been named after four brother principals who had served here in St Augustine’s in the early years.


Yellow House has been named after Br Whiting – the first principal of St Augustine’s ( 1972 – 1975).Blue House had been named  after Br Gomes who succeeded him as principal from 1974 to 1978.Green House  has been named after Br Murphy ( the Shepherd of Bassein) who was the third principal of the school from 1978 to 1984. Red   House has been named after Br Keane who was principal here from 1990 to 1995.
Brs Whiting,Gomes and Murphy were the first three principal’s of St Augustine’s School – heading the school from 1972 to 1984. Br Keane was principal from 1990 to 1995.

The House Points System will be implemented to cover academic,co curricular and sporting events in school from this academic year onwards.
