SAS U 13 Football team visits St Mary’s Mt Abu

St Mary’s High School, Mount Abu,nestled in a forest and bordered by a lake, is one of the most beautifully located schools in the world.

Our under 13 football team, accompanied by Sirs Brice and Rostan went there to participate in the Br Foran Memorial Inter School Football Tournament.

Here are some photographs of the opening ceremony and the first game our team played..

We did very badly in our first game which was against the host school itself.A combination of jet lag travel weariness and home ground advantage for the host team saw us lose that game by 8 goals to 1. Alas .We did much better in our second game against St Patrick’s School ( Asansol) .That game ended in a 2-2 draw.

St Patrick’s progressed to the semi finals on goal difference . The 8 goals we shipped in the first game really gave us a very poor goal difference. The good news however is that the team (and Sirs Brice and Rostan) can now enjoy the rest of their stay in St Mary’s without having to worry about goal difference or winning or losing any more games. We hope they will come back with many happy memories of their trip to Mt Abu and lots of selfies taken in the glorious surroundings.

(Thanks to Br Griban for many of the photographs)
