Playing in the Under 15 Subroto Cup team

My first experience of playing in the Subroto Cup elimination games was quite memorable.The team gathered in school and after saying a prayer we departed at around 10:00 am.When we reached the venue we found that our game was not going to start at the scheduled time .So we had to remain on the bus and keep ourselves entertained.

                                                                                                                                      

Our first game was against Tree house school but they did not show up.So we happily got a bye into the next round.We then continued to sit in the bus for most of the time till about 1 pm.Then we found out that our next  game would be rescheduled to another day.  

Sir Brice gave us some bananas to eat and then we returned to school.That was my first experience of playing in the Subroto Tournament.Even though it consisted mainly of sitting in a bus,eating bananas and hoping that the game would start it was lots of fun. Hopefully we will actually get to play the next time we head out. (Lance Pereira 9D)

PS: Below is the photograph of 16 year old Lamine Yamal. If he had been in St Augustine’s School he would have been in our under 17 team Subroto Cup team.Unfortunately he is in some other school.
