Correia Memorial Tournament returns at last

The long awaited Sir Robert Correia Memorial inter class football tournament returned to SAS at last after a gap of two long years.The good weather that we have had over the last couple of days enabled the groundstaff to give the grass on the field a much needed trim and also get the necessary marking done. Thus the teams gathered in the school hall for the opening ceremony on the 18th of July.

The theme song for World Cup 2022 and another World Cup Promo song helped to create the right atmosphere for the restarting of the long awaited football tournament.

After that Sir Murugan declared the tournament open. The teams posed for a photograph with their class teachers and the tournament got underway.

The opening games were 9A v/s 9B and 10A v/s 10B.

10A got off to a roaring start by registering a thumping 4-0 win over 10 B. Arsh,Ayush Negi,Dhyey and Ayush More were the scorers. In the other game the score line was a bit more respectable. 9A beat 9B 3-1 ,the scorers being Adrian Dsilva (2) and Abhishek for 9A and Zidane for 9B.
