The last game of the 2026 tournament was played way back on the 23rd of June this year. After that rain and too much grass ensured that no more games could be played till further notice.
‘Further notice finally came on the 23rd again. Four months later,on the 23rd of October the long awaited permission to resume the tournament was finally given. Two pending games of Pool B were played that day.
9A v/s 10D Skills were rusty and so goals were few. 10D won the game 1-0 .
The other game that day between 10C and 9D was the first of two must win games for 10C. Happily for them, they won the must win game 2-1
Games on 24th October
Pool A : Class 10B topped the pool and made it to the semis with a convincing 3-1 win over 9B
Pool B : 10D also made it to the semi finals by pulling off a table topping 4-0 win over class 9D.
Games on 26th October
Pool A : 10A and 9C played the last of the league level games of the tournament. 10 A were beaten 1-0 by 9C and it brought an end to a dismal campaign for them.10A managed one draw and two losses and ended with a goal difference of -5. Their 2026 campaign was marginally better than their 2025 campaign ( last year they lost all games and ended with a goal difference of -5)
Pool B: 10C were unstoppable in their last league game. They beat poor 9A by 7 goals to nothing. The last time a team lost by a 7 goal margin was in 2022. That time around it was 10 D that won 7-0 and the class that lost 7-0 that year was strangely enough,9A that time around too.History does repeat itself apparently.
