The fastest Correia Memorial Tournament ever

The Correia Memorial Tournament usually takes a while to start and finish. The best laid plans and fixtures would often get sidetracked by the monsoon which would have the final say in the matter.The 2018 edition started on the 10th of August and ended on teachers day that year.10A beat 10C that year.

The 2019 edition of the tournament started on the 13th of August. Various things apart from the monsoon saw the semi finals being played on the 24th of October.The finals that year were finally played on 14th November. 10B beat 10C that year.

There was no tournament in 2020 and 2021 because of the pandemic. The 2022 edition of the tournament started on the 18th of July.This edition holds the world record for being the longest Correia Tournament ever.The finals were finally played on the 6th of January 2023.10D beat 10C to emerge champions.

The 2023 edition of Correia Memorial made up for all the extended tournaments over the years by being the fastest tournament ever.It started on the 19th of June and ended on the 23rd of June. It started and ended so quickly that quite a few players were heard saying afterwards that they felt that the tournament got over even before it began !

And Class 10C ,after being runners up in all the previous versions of the tournament,finally broke that jinx.They beat 9D by 3 goals in the finals. 10 C won at last and were crowned champions of the Correia Memorial Tournament 2023.
